# In-hand Salary Calculator India — old vs new tax regime

Estimate the salary that reaches your bank account after employer PF, gratuity, employee PF, professional tax, income tax, and 4% health and education cess. Interactive calculator at https://spenco.ai/in-hand-salary-calculator.

## Old vs new tax regime

The calculator compares both regimes for Tax Year 2026–27. The new regime uses its ₹75,000 standard deduction, current income-tax slabs, Section 87A rebate up to ₹12 lakh of taxable income, and marginal relief just above that threshold. The old regime uses its ₹50,000 standard deduction and allows eligible HRA, Section 80C, NPS, Section 80D, professional-tax, and self-occupied home-loan-interest deductions entered by the user.

## What counts as in-hand salary

Annual cash salary is estimated as CTC minus employer PF and gratuity. Estimated annual in-hand salary then subtracts employee PF, professional tax, and income tax. The monthly figure averages the result across 12 months, so actual payroll may differ in bonus or variable-pay months.

## Assumptions

This estimate is designed for a resident salaried individual below 60 with regular salary income up to ₹50 lakh and no special-rate income or surcharge. It is an educational estimate, not tax advice. Confirm deduction eligibility and payroll treatment with a tax professional.
