Most personal finance apps are rear-view mirrors. They tell you what you spent last month, draw a pie chart, and call it insight. By the time you see the numbers, the money is already gone.

We built **Spenco** to look the other way — forward.

## What Spenco does

Spenco is a prediction-first personal finance app for India. It connects the threads of your financial life — bank statements, credit card bills, investments — and answers the questions that actually matter:

- **Where is my money going next month?** Spenco forecasts your cash flow so salary credits, SIPs, rent, EMIs, and card bills stop surprising you.
- **Where did it all go?** Every statement and bill pulled together into one searchable view — categories, merchants, and trends, in rupees, built for Indian banks.
- **What should I pay attention to?** AI-powered insights that surface the anomaly, the creeping subscription, the bill that is larger than usual — before it becomes a problem.

## Why we built it

Managing money in India means juggling statements scattered across emails, half a dozen bank apps, and a spreadsheet you stopped updating in March. Global finance apps don't speak INR, don't understand Indian banks, and treat forecasting as an afterthought.

We wanted one place that does the boring work — reading the statements, categorising the transactions, reconciling the accounts — and spends its intelligence on the only question that matters: **what happens next?**

## What's coming

This blog is where we'll share product updates, engineering notes, and what we're learning about predicting personal finances. We're just getting started.
