## How it works

1. **Forward your alerts** — Set up a one-time forward rule in Gmail or Outlook pointing your bank alert emails to Spenco. We never access your inbox — only the emails you choose to send us.
2. **We decode every alert** — Every forwarded bank alert is decoded instantly: merchant, amount, category, date.
3. **Forecast engine turns on** — Burn rate, days remaining, and month-end projection start calculating automatically, updating with every new alert in real time.
4. **Stay ahead, monthly** — New emails are parsed live. Your forecast updates automatically.

## FAQ

**Is my financial data secure?**
Yes. Data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest, and Spenco never stores your bank credentials. Email parsing is read-only — we cannot move money, only read transaction notifications.

**Which banks are supported?**
HDFC, ICICI, Axis, Kotak Mahindra, Canara Bank, Punjab National Bank, and Bank of Baroda — covering the major private and public sector banks used by salaried and government employees. More banks are rolling out monthly through 2026.

**What does Spenco cost?**
Starter is ₹499 a year — free for your first year as a limited-time launch offer. It covers transactions, insights and analytics, the basic dashboard, the auto email parser, and limited AI chat. Pro adds the forecast dashboard, net worth tracker, spending planner, statement upload, group expenses and unlimited AI chat for ₹1,999 a year, down from ₹3,999. A one-time Founder tier at ₹25,999 covers everything for life, capped at the first 100 people and arranged by direct contact. Pro and Founder are not on sale yet — nothing is charged today.

**Who owns my data?**
You do. Export anytime. Delete anytime. We never sell data, never run ads, and never share with third parties.

**Is there an iOS app?**
Not yet. Spenco runs on the web today and the Android app is live on Google Play. The iOS app is in progress.
